The PROSPECTOR'S simple tools were a pick and shovel. The mule his only companion, his hands blistered and calloused, he chipped away at the quartz searching for that elusive vein
of gold.
This bronze model, artfully hand cast by the lost wax mcthod, is highlighted by a specimen of quartz or iron pyrite, on a block of California Redwood.
